The Southwest's CHASING FACES are, Adam Nickels (bass), Nathan Gregory (guitars), Simon Hodgkiss (drums) and Jonny Garrett (vocals/keys/guitar). Formed in a bizarre twist of fate at a university gig, realising that they all have the same drive to make some original and entertaining music. In one form or another have all been in active bands since school, now in their twenties and under the influence of varied bands the likes of Explosions In The Sky, Incubus, Muse and Tears For Fears they look set to make 2008 their own.
Things are definitely looking good for the band as they start to pack out local venues to the rafters and stun audiences across the Southwest with their unique blend of skyscraping crescendos and moody synths. Having supported The Magic Numbers and New Zealand favourites The Checks with recent appearances on Channel 4 and local radio stations it begs the question how long before they are snapped up by the majors.
